CD LEGS, FEET & SHIELDS
Capacitor discharge gun feet and legs are used to set the proper plunge depth of the stud. The plunge is the amount of stud that protrudes beyond the end of the footpiece. Plunge depth is critical for proper welds. Please refer to your stud welder manual for plunge depth information. Shields are used to limit spark disbursement and are also commonly used for template location.
